A Film series focusing on LGBTQ+ stories, voices, issues and creators, in honor of PRIDE MONTH
PROGRAM AND TICKETS FOR 2024 will be announced in early May
Spectrum was the brainchild of Bob Dutton, who sadly is no longer with us in person to enjoy these films, but his spirit is most definitely with us.
Bob was equal parts entertainer and educator, and both simultaneously. The entertainer in him would encourage us to soak in every element of these varied films – the cinematography, the rich settings – allowing ourselves to become immersed in their worlds – these characters, these stories. Then the educator in him would ask us lots of questions – which character did you most identify with? Which would you least want to be, and why? Could you imagine yourself in these situations and what would you do? Did any of your assumptions before the movie change after watching it?
That last question would be most important to him, as his goal for this series was Education through Entertainment. And we leave you with Bob’s favorite parting instruction – Be well, Do well…and enjoy the films.
